Chrysos Golden Retrievers is located in the lovely Pacific Northwest in Vancouver Washington. In 1985, after being involved with Goldens as pets and companions for several years I attended my first Golden Retriever specialty in Monroe, Washington.  I saw the most beautiful dogs I had ever seen and met "Doc", Am Can CH Tri-Valley's Doc Holliday CDX WCX. Excelling in conformation, obedience and field, Doc was the inspiration for me to become seriously involved in Goldens.

It took two years for the right breeding to come along but it was worth the wait. In the spring of 1987, Sunny, "Bronzeleaf's Bet-n-on Holiday, a Doc daughter, came to live with me and changed my life forever.

Sunny's daughter "Chloe" was the dog I had been waiting for all my life. Chloe was beautiful with an outgoing temperament and incredible floating movement. Her offspring have done extremely well in the ring. Chloe produced two Am Can Champions, Casey and Candy and is the dam of Satin, the dog at my feet as I write this today.

There have been ups and downs in this journey.  I am unable to keep a large number of dogs, two or three at a time is the max for me. And showing dogs is an expensive hobby. I keep the best I produce and breed only occasionally when I can keep a puppy. The litter I am expecting this winter is the first in 3 years and I have been planning this breeding since before Satin was born.
